Hello

I fucking love Star Trek

I love everything there is to love about Star Trek.

  • I love watching it
  • I love playing games about it
  • I love talking about it
  • I love arguing about it

GIFs!

I've got a bunch of GIFs that I want to share from Star Trek. Expect this to keep growing.

Thoughts

So, in general I really love Star Trek. I know that sounds almost like a platitude, but like, it's not.

I have been watching Star Trek since I was literally born. I've grown up with Star Trek, it was and remains my guiding light! When Enterprise went off the air it was the first time in my life there wasn't a series on... and I was devestated. I cried (and not only because that finale was... well... bad.)

I don't know that I'm the most qualified expert on all things Trek (I've only watched DS9 all the way through a handful of times, and TAS once...) but I do think that I'm qualified to say that so far, there has been no bad Trek. There's less good Trek, but much like Pizza, even the worst Trek is still Trek, and therefore awesome.

Star Trek is a beacon of hope in my life... and life in general... It shows us what the world can be, will be, if we start working together to get things taken care of instead of constantly infighting and trying as best we can as a species to fuck up the world (and that we keep fucking trying to implement fascism over and over again) ...

I do hope that we can stop it with the Fascism though... the post-scarcity world of Trek is well and truly within our grasp... it's just so hard to see it so close and still so far away in the name of Capitalism
