Roast Cauliflower

A simple roasted cauliflower vegetable dish

Ingredients

Process

  1. Remove the green leaves and stem from the cauliflower
  2. Wash the cauliflower head
  3. Slice the cauliflower into 2-3 cm thick slices
  4. Wash the cauliflower slices
    • It is important to wash the cauliflower thoroughly. You should do this with all of your vegetables.
  5. Place the slices on a baking paper or aluminum foil lined baking sheet
  6. Drizzle olive oil over each slice of cauliflower. If using butter, place a pat of butter on each slice
  7. Add salt and pepper to taste
  8. Roast at approximately 250 C in a lufted oven for 15 to 20 minutes
  9. Flip slices on pan
  10. Broil the slices for about 5 minutes or until edges are browned
  11. Serve hot

Other information

This is a versatile vegetable dish. Cauliflower can also be chopped instead of sliced, and other seasonings can be used. I commonly add Basil, Oregano, or Rosemary.
