A simple roasted cauliflower vegetable dish
Ingredients
- 1 or 2 heads of cauliflower
- Olive oil -or- butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Process
- Remove the green leaves and stem from the cauliflower
- Wash the cauliflower head
- Slice the cauliflower into 2-3 cm thick slices
- Wash the cauliflower slices
- It is important to wash the cauliflower thoroughly. You should do this with all of your vegetables.
- Place the slices on a baking paper or aluminum foil lined baking sheet
- Drizzle olive oil over each slice of cauliflower. If using butter, place a pat of butter on each slice
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Roast at approximately 250 C in a lufted oven for 15 to 20 minutes
- Flip slices on pan
- Broil the slices for about 5 minutes or until edges are browned
- Serve hot
Other information
This is a versatile vegetable dish. Cauliflower can also be chopped instead of sliced, and other seasonings can be used. I commonly add Basil, Oregano, or Rosemary.
